The Sword Box is a comedy illusion which, though it involves simple everyday objects, seems to be one of the most baffling of all Ellis & Webster's illusions. Tim explains that tonight's special guest magicians, The Perdentes, are going to present a classic illusion, The Samurai Sword Cabinet of Doom. It involves a beautiful antique cabinet and a dozen razor-sharp hand made samurai swords. As he is introducing the act, Tim is told that they haven't turned up... so, in order not to disappoint the audience, Tim & Sue-Anne grab anything they can find back stage and try to pass themselves off as The Perdentes.
Miming to the song 'Come What May' from the movie Moulin Rouge, Tim gets into a cardboard box while Sue-Anne plunges mops, brooms, wipers, golf cluds and pool cues through every side. It seems there's no way Tim could possibly survive!
Battered and torn he emerges, having survived one of the funniest illusions you'll ever see! NOTE: For shows outside of Melbourne 'The Sword Box' will incur a small additional fee for freight.ROADCASE DIMENSIONS: One golf buggy, a flat cardboard box, a small stepladder and a trolley.MINIMUM STAGE SIZE: 3m x 3m. It can be performed on dancefloors while completely surrounded.
