 WHO?
David Jones began performing professionally 22 years ago when he became one of the resident magicians at Merlins restaurant in Fitzroy. Since then he has performed close-up magic at wedding receptions, 21st birthday parties, 50th anniversary parties, cocktail parties, banquets, Barmitzvahs and trade promotions.
His extensive experience includes six years as the resident magician at the Keg Restaurant and Bar in Doncaster (1996-2002), two years as the resident magician at Club Kilsyth (2004-2006), and he is currently one of the resident magicians at the Crown Casino Complex and can be seen on a regular basis performing close-up magic at Santé Brasserie, The Mesh, and The Pub at Crown. He has worked everywhere from the Great Hall at the National Gallery to private functions at Raheen for Richard Pratt and the Visy Board company. He has performed at the Australia Club, the Athenaeum Club and the Savage Club, and appeared many times at the major Melbourne hotels including the Grand Hyatt, Hilton, Park Royal, Sheraton, Radison, the Old Melbourne Hotel, and Crown Casino. WHAT? David offers a unique magic show for small groups in private homes and restaurants. The show runs 30 minutes though it can be adapted to suit your function. WHERE? Winner - Australian Magic Convention Close-up magic competiton in 1986, as well as the Australian Society of Magicians Close-up Magic competition in 1989, 1990 and 2004.
